Description
Juicy burgers loaded with crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese, and a secret seasoning blend for an addictive flavor-packed experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20)
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 4 brioche burger buns
- Butter for toasting buns
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles
Instructions
- Combine 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp brown sugar, and a pinch of cayenne in a small bowl to make the seasoning blend.
- In a large mixing bowl, gently combine 1 lb (450g) ground beef with half of the seasoning blend. Avoid overmixing.
- Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 3/4 inch thick. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Heat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness. Sprinkle the remaining seasoning blend on each patty as they cook.
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover the pan or grill to help the cheese melt.
- Spread a thin layer of butter on the cut sides of the burger buns. Toast them on a griddle or skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties with melted cheese on the bottom buns. Add bacon and any desired toppings, then cover with the top bun.
