- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs, optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and dry the cauliflower head. Cut it into bite-sized florets, ensuring they are roughly the same size for even cooking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and any herbs you’re using. Toss until every floret is coated evenly.
- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Spread the cauliflower in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for 20 minutes. After that, remove it and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the cauliflower. Toss gently to combine and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- The cauliflower should be tender and slightly crispy. If you want extra browning, you can broil it for an additional 1-2 minutes, but watch closely to avoid burning!
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Make sure to dry the cauliflower thoroughly after washing to avoid steaming. Don’t skip the olive oil for better caramelization.
