Frozen Smore Sandwiches Recipe Easy Summer Treat

  • Author: Tessa
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 6 sandwiches 1x

Description

A chilled, handheld twist on the classic s’more, perfect for summer desserts and easy to make without a campfire.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 whole graham crackers
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 2 milk chocolate bars
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Optional toppings: sprinkles, crushed nuts, mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marshmallow filling: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of marshmallow fluff and 1 cup of whipped cream. Stir gently until smooth and well combined. Set aside.
  2. Set up your assembly station: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place 6 graham crackers evenly spaced on the sheet.
  3. Melt the chocolate: Break 2 milk chocolate bars into small pieces and melt them in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is smooth.
  4. Assemble the sandwiches: Spread a thin layer of melted chocolate on each graham cracker. Then, spread a generous layer of the marshmallow mixture over the chocolate.
  5. Top with another graham cracker: Place a second graham cracker on top of the marshmallow layer to create a sandwich. Press gently to secure.
  6. Add optional toppings: If desired, press sprinkles, crushed nuts, or mini chocolate chips onto the edges of the marshmallow filling for extra flair.
  7. Freeze: Place the assembled sandwiches in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  8. Serve: Once fully frozen, remove from the freezer and let sit for 2-3 minutes before enjoying.

Notes

[“Chill the marshmallow mixture in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes if it’s too sticky to work with.”, ‘Use firm graham crackers to prevent sogginess in the freezer.’, “Don’t skimp on chocolate for a rich flavor.”, ‘Work quickly to keep the marshmallow fluff manageable.’, ‘Freeze sandwiches flat to prevent sticking or shifting.’]
