  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 naan breads, warmed
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt (for sauce)
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken marinade by combining yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, ground cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix well.
  2. Place the chicken thighs into the marinade, ensuring they’re fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  3. Prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing plain yogurt with chopped mint and cilantro in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Grill the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is charred.
  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice into thin strips.
  7. Warm the naan breads on the grill for about 1 minute per side, or until soft and pliable.
  8. Spread a generous spoonful of yogurt sauce on each naan. Top with sliced chicken, cucumber, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
  9. Fold the naan around the fillings to create a wrap. Serve immediately.
