Flavorful Crescent Roll Taco Pizza Recipe – Easy Dinner Idea

  • Author: Tessa
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This crescent roll taco pizza combines a buttery, flaky crust with savory taco seasoning, gooey melted cheese, and fresh toppings for a quick and delicious dinner idea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-ounce) tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 pound ground beef, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade)
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican blend or cheddar cheese
  • Sour cream, for drizzling or dolloping
  • Salsa
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Sliced black olives
  • Optional toppings: jalapeños, green onions, avocado slices, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix the cooked ground beef with the taco seasoning according to the package instructions. Set it aside.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto your baking sheet. Press the seams together to form a single, solid crust. If you’re using a pizza stone or a dish, shape the dough accordingly.
  5. Using a fork, poke holes across the surface of the dough to prevent bubbling. Bake the crust for 8–10 minutes or until lightly golden.
  6. Once the crust is pre-baked, spread a thin layer of salsa evenly across the surface, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Top the salsa with the seasoned ground beef, spreading it out evenly.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the beef. You want it to melt and bind everything together.
  9. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  11. Top the pizza with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and any other toppings you love, like black olives, jalapeños, or avocado slices.
  12. Slice into squares or triangles and serve with dollops of sour cream and extra salsa on the side.

Notes

[‘Pre-bake the crescent roll crust to prevent it from getting soggy.’, ‘Season the beef well for maximum flavor.’, ‘Customize toppings to suit your taste.’, ‘Let the pizza cool slightly before slicing to prevent toppings from sliding off.’, ‘Double the recipe for larger crowds.’]
