Description
These vibrant red, white, and green bite-sized skewers are a quick, easy, and visually stunning appetizer packed with flavor, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- Cherry or grape tomatoes
- Fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
- Fresh basil leaves
- Balsamic glaze
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Skewers
Instructions
- Wash the cherry tomatoes and pat them dry. Slice larger tomatoes in half if needed. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry.
- Start by sliding a cherry tomato onto the skewer, followed by a basil leaf, a mozzarella ball, and another tomato. Repeat until the skewer is full, leaving a bit of room at the end for handling.
- Arrange the skewers neatly on your serving platter. Drizzle olive oil lightly over the skewers, followed by a generous drizzle of balsamic glaze.
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper over the skewers for extra flavor.
- If you’re not serving immediately, cover the platter with plastic wrap and refrigerate. These skewers can be made up to 4 hours ahead of time.
