Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line your baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy lifting later.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, stirring until well mixed.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- In a separate bowl, prepare the creamy pumpkin filling by mixing the pumpkin puree, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the pumpkin filling over the brownie batter in the pan, smoothing it out.
- Dollop the remaining brownie batter on top of the pumpkin layer, using a knife or spatula to swirl it gently for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake!
