Description

These Delicious Pumpkin Brownies with Creamy Pumpkin Pie Filling combine fudgy brownies with a rich, velvety pumpkin pie filling, making them a perfect treat for fall gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line your baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy lifting later.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, stirring until well mixed.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully incorporated.
  4. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  6. In a separate bowl, prepare the creamy pumpkin filling by mixing the pumpkin puree, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  7. Spread the pumpkin filling over the brownie batter in the pan, smoothing it out.
  8. Dollop the remaining brownie batter on top of the pumpkin layer, using a knife or spatula to swirl it gently for a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake!
  10. Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

These brownies are best served slightly warm, but they’re also fantastic at room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
