- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease your loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Make sure everything is well combined!
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix!
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownie bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider substituting the butter with applesauce or using a sugar alternative, like coconut sugar.
