Description

This Decadent Brownie Bread is the perfect blend of fudgy brownie goodness and soft, moist bread that you won’t be able to resist. It’s a fantastic way to use up any leftover chocolate and is great for gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Make sure everything is well combined!
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix!
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Let the brownie bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider substituting the butter with applesauce or using a sugar alternative, like coconut sugar.
